Everyone has a fat kid inside of them… just screaming to get out. Some of us are already fat, and cannot hear the screams. Either way, you should indulge this inner-child. Feed him; nurture him; give him chocolate and place him in front of the TV. After-all, isn’t that the American way?

I don’t trust health food. It is my personal belief that food does not taste good until it is dredged, battered, fried, buttered, salted, seasoned and served with a side of garlicky mashed potatoes. Or seasoned yucca chips. Or buttery rice with herbs. Or crispy potato wedges and garlic aioli. Mmmm.

Over the last few years I have fallen in love with food. I think I’m the only person who watched American Pie and thought: what a waste of a perfectly good dish. Food not only sustains us, it gives us a reason to live. It is that essential thing that brings people together. So next time you are at the local Sam’s Club, and your stomach begins to growl, go to the nearest sample station and indulge yourself: again, and again, and again. Feed Your Fat Kid.
