Chocolate milk is rich, sweet, and nostalgic. But sometimes, it can be a little flat. I like to take standard chocolate milk mixes and use them as a base for great flavorings. Cinnamon, Vanilla, Coffee. You can even add liqueurs like amaretto and creme de menthe. This recipe is so easy, a child could make it. Simply add ground cardamom and vanilla extract to your favorite chocolate milk. It’s as easy as that. Got vanilla beans? Even better. You could take the combination a step further by pouring the mixture into a blender over ice and adding some chopped semi-sweet chocolate. Blend until fully incorporated and tiny chocolatey specks appear.

8 oz cold 2% milk

2-3 tablespoons chocolate syrup or powder

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Combine all ingredients and enjoy!
